This series is a collection of photographs taken during my 6 weeks long artist residency program to western Canada from September to October 2017. During the first few days of arriving to Banff, Alberta, I often thought of the series “WestWorld.” I wasn’t used to being surrounded with mountains, and the horizon kept telling me “There is no escape.” But mountains made me extremely curious. Every day I would wake up and daydream about what could be behind each of them, or how would the view look like from their peaks. After a while I started to feel safe being surrounded with them. They had turned into my Guardians.
